At Open Door Christian School, we believe following Jesus calls us to love and serve others. Through opportunities to serve our local community, our nation, and the world, students put their faith into action with compassion, humility, and purpose. These experiences help students develop Christlike leadership, deepen their understanding of God’s heart for people, and discover the joy of meeting the needs of others. Through service, students grow as faithful disciples, learning to honor Christ and carry His love beyond the classroom into everyday life.

You CAN give! ODCS GIVES: Graham Community Food Pantry!
For our first quarter service project we will be doing a canned food drive for our local food bank! Preschool-1st grade is Team 1, 2nd-5th grade is Team 2, JH/HS is Team 3! We will be keeping count of items brought for your Team and at the end of the 9 weeks, the Team who brought the most will be awarded!
Please begin sending your child to school with their donations! You can also drop off in the office, just let me know for who so we can add it to the Team total!
We are excited for the opportunity to teach our students the value of serving others—not out of obligation, but out of love and a genuine desire to give back. This is a wonderful way for our students to put their faith into action while making a meaningful difference in our community!

BLESSING OUR FIREFIGHTERS IN OUR AREA
In less than 24 hours, our Open Door Christian School families came together in an incredible way to bless the volunteer firefighters battling the Ross Fire this week. Because of your generosity, we were able to deliver cases of water, Gatorade, Liquid I.V. and gift cards to our local volunteer fire station, making sure these men and women have some of the things they need as they spend long, exhausting hours protecting our community.
We took a group of our Junior High and High School students to help deliver and unload the donations. But one of the most meaningful moments of the day had nothing to do with what we brought. Before we left, our students had the opportunity to gather around firefighter Jarod Cook and pray over him, his fellow firefighters, their safety, their families, and everyone affected by the Ross Fire. This is what we want our students to understand about service. When our community is hurting, we show up. We give. We serve. And we pray.
