Welcome to the Open Door Christian School website!
We are all excited about the upcoming school year--2009-2010! I have been an educator for over 40 years, and I still get excited. Remember not being able to sleep the night before??? As you can tell, I love working with children.
We have just completely renovated our preschool area and cannot wait to show it off. Our school begins with preschool 3 and goes through 8th grade. Our enrollment usually runs around 100 students. The class ratio is 12:1 normally in K-8th grade and preK is 10:1. Open Door is truly blessed to have an amazing group of students and faculty. We are committed to educating our students in the core areas plus teaching them about Christ through His Word and learning to serve Him. The freedom to use scripture in the classroom is amazing. All students attend chapel on Wednesdays. We supplement our program with a computer lab, Rosetta Stone Spanish, music, art and physical education classes.
We love being able to have a partnership with the families to educate their children, and we enjoy being able to include them in many events-- Grandparents' breakfast, Fall Fest, Thanksgiving feast, Texas Day, Easter at Fort Belknap, and many more.
We also emphasize learning to serve God through our families and in the community. The Food Pantry and Clothes Closet has become our favorite benefactor. Serving Graham in this way has been a double blessing both to us and to the community.
